True Japanese style big room. There is a enclosed balcony with two single sofa, good for a cup of tea. Very good toiletries. Lots of parking. Love the green tea and little snacks everyday. Also enjoyed the Japanese style tea pots. We were looking for a place near Kofu station, since that is the central station for both Bus and train from Tokyo. But didn't find any suitable one. You need a car to move around Kofu and around places comfortably. Hired a car from near Kofu Station (Nissan rent-a-car, also there are Toyota rent-a-car). Drove to hotel is about 20 mins from Kofu Station.

We had a wonderful night in Yamanashi prefecture. We booked the hotel as it was our anniversary and we were visiting some vineyards in the area. Being from the UK we did not know what to expect and the view from the hotel terrace of Mount Fuji blew us away. The amazing staff, who were just the most friendly of our 3 week trip, showed us to our room and we had been upgraded to a suite. It was by far the biggest hotel room we have ever stayed in and absolutely huge for a Japanese hotel. The best part was that we got a perfect view of Mount Fuji from our bedroom. A spectacular treat. We ate in the hotel and had a set Japanese meal which was delicious. We practiced our Japanese as all the staff spoke little to no English, but they tried so hard to help us and were amazing. The next morning we had a nice breakfast while watching a film crew make a movie on the terrace. An added bonus. We wished we could have stayed longer and our amazing reception lady even helped us to our car with our massive suitcases. The stay really exemplified Japanese warmth and hospitality. I wish I had taken names so I could mention them personally. We were made to feel so special and it was explained to us that not many British tourists visit them and the region. I can tell you that everyone should explore beyond the main cities, as the wine is great, the countryside splendid and the Fuji views (if you're lucky like we were and got a sunny day) were breathtaking. A true highlight of our trip. Thank you everyone.

The room was by far the biggest and most comfortable we’ve had in Japan — super spacious, spotlessly clean, and very cozy. The breakfast was exceptional, with so much care and quality in every detail, a real highlight of our mornings. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the host/owners. They were incredibly welcoming, warm, and without a doubt the most kind and adorable people we’ve met in Japan so far. Their hospitality made us feel completely at home. My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the hotel! We booked a package with breakfast included, and it was very delicious. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake and was very clean, cozy, and decorated in a traditional Japanese style. The futons were incredibly comfortable — we slept like babies! Ending the day with a relaxing soak in the hotel's onsen was just perfect. There was a small additional tax for using the onsen, but it was totally worth it. A lovely bonus was the complimentary morning shuttle to the train station, so we didn't have to think about how we would get there.

A good location for a hassle-free getaway in Fujikawaguchiko, Fuji View Hotel is a ryokan surrounded by views of the garden.
