We liked the unique accommodation in the middle of nature and close to the lake. The hosts are very welcoming and helped us with the transfer and with the organization of a safari and a trip to the lake. The food prepared by the host was excellent. The cottage is located in a garden where we saw many beautifully colored birds. We loved hearing the birdsong in the morning! We felt very good here! Thank you!

Great base for visiting Yala. Owner was extremely helpful and made our stay more pleasurable because of his helpfulness and kindness. Breakfast provided was excellent. Plenty of food. Rooms were really well thought out and extremely comfy. Made for a very relaxing stay. Owner organised a very reasonable taxi for our onward journey to Ella.

Ease of checking in. Really lovely owner. Bed was comfortable. Hot shower and strong pressure. Very nice swimming pool in the garden. I would definitely recommend this place to stay. It’s located just over 1km from the town so it’s a short Tuk Tuk drive away!

Apartment owners are super welcoming and kind. The rooms are big and clean. The apartment owner is also a experienced safari guide, and he also took us to safari. The trip was amazing and we saw a lot of different animals. When it was time to go, they helped us with finding a ride, since we could not find any. They were really nice, kind and helpful.

The location next to the lake was stunning, the resort is within 15 minutes of Yala national park so it was perfect for our safari. The staff were very helpful and friendly in helping booking with our activities and provided a packed breakfast for a safari which started early AM. We got a free room upgrade which was very much appreciated. the food was delicious, especially the Sri Lankan curry. The massage we had was incredible so definitely book this! overall staying at Thaulle Resort made our holiday experience in Sri Lanka a great one and we would highly recommended staying here. Shawn especially made us feel very welcome.
