The property was in a beautiful situation located amongst a very peaceful and stunning environment. Staff were kind, friendly and exceedingly welcoming. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious. Of our trip down through Spain and Portugal this was by far the best accommodation we stayed at. I will be recommending it to all our friends and acquaintances.

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place, Herdade Ribeira it is. Very nice house, comfortable, tastefully furnished and clean. The communication via phone or text message is working great, breakfast with fresh products is delivered in the morning around 9:30 - you can choose the day before from a menu. We spent three nights and left the house only for swimming in the pool and one trip to Evora.

Formerly a convent, this hotel near the historical village of Vila Viçosa is set in lush, landscaped gardens. It has an outdoor swimming pool, a spacious terrace and a restaurant.

Wonderful large room with historic furnishings.Bathroom was very big with beautiful tiles.Loved the big thick walled corridors and little snippets of history everywhere. Old wall frescoes an old chapel.Big comfortable lounges.Our bikes had a parking place in the pousada in an old hallway.
