Hokkoma Aso Private cottage 1棟貸しコテージ南阿蘇, a property with a garden and a terrace, is located in Aso, 35 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto, 45 km from Suizenji Park, as well as 46 km from Hosokawa... The cottage was very comfortable, quiet, clean, and spacious. The kitchen was well appointed and if there was something we needed that wasn’t supplied we just had to ask Mayumi the owner.

Impeccable all around service, location, everything! I loved the kitchen and seating area where we could wind down after a day of sightseeing and delicious food. The beds were so comfortable and calming. The surrounding neighborhood had delicious food and kind people that made us feel welcome on every corner. It was fun going to produce markets and coming back to our home away from home. Kumamoto rocks and the venue confirmed it.

Established in 1941 and renovated in 2005, Ryokan Ayu no Sato features multiple indoor/outdoor hot spring baths, both Japanese and Western-style accommodations and free WiFi in public areas. The interior space is very welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were excellent (good value). The staff was extremely friendly and warm. The location is nearby downtown area and Hitoyoshi station.

Nice reception area, comfortable beds, half decent slippers provided, price was excellent, washer/dryer facilities were good and staff were happy to call ferry company for us to plan our day ahead.

OMO5 Kumamoto by Hoshino Resorts offers accommodation in Kumamoto near Former Residence of Natsume Soseki and Kumamoto City Museum. The location was fantastic, right in the middle of downtown Kumamoto, walking distance from Kumamoto castle and right next to the bus stop for the airport limousine. The breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and the rooms were beautiful.
