This is the most incredible hotel. The views are simply breathtaking and the hospitality of the staff is absolutely overwhelming. Mr Thilak, hotel manager, and his team took care of every detail during our 2 day stay with them. We were travelling with young children (age 3 & 6) and they were so accommodating and kind it was really heartwarming. Small things like our eldest mentioned how he wanted to try a King Coconut at some point during his stay in Sri Lanka, and the next morning at breakfast, the team had thoughtfully carved two for the kids, in the shape of a mouse, so they could try the refreshing coconut water. Mr Thilak also arranged for a short cooking class for us to make our own Hoppers for breakfast, it was a great and interactive experience- especially for the kids. The food menu was brilliant for families, which was something we were a little worried about hearing stories from friends, but here there was even a kids menu here and lots of things our boys enjoyed. Our stay happened to fall over International Women's Day, and I was stopped in the afternoon and presented with a rose and a small gift to celebrate the event. It was so thoughtful. The swimming pool at the hotel is amazing, with views from the pool, restaurant and lobby that will literally take your breath away. Surprise visits from the local monkeys were also fun! We had a driver for our trip and also took the chance to visit Kandy which took us about 1 hour... worth the trip to see some of the famous sights, though I must say we were happy to return to serenity of Greenacres after a full on day of busy city life. We were so sad when it came time to leave, and would truly reccomend anyone travelling to Sri Lanka to brave the jungle path to the hotel and absorb the beautiful setting, wonderful views and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Above all, the hotel has the most incredible staff with the closest attention to detail and we would truly like to thank them all for their fabulous service!

This was a very relaxed hotel. Atmosphere was very chilled. The service and food were really nice and the breakfast was especially nice to.

Situated just 5.7 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall, Lalanga Homestay features accommodation in Kandy with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Really clean. I mean exceptionally clean. An older property with decor and furniture to match its age. I stayed in the deluxe double which was a very big room with a small window, but it wasn't dark as the internal lighting was good. Plenty of shelves and places to put clothes and bags. Comfortable bed. Big bathroom, good water pressure. Very nice and helpful hosts. Food was outstanding. Excellent breakfast with some choices. Dinners were really good Sri Lankan rice and curry which were cooked with care and skill. If you ask in advance what the options are you can choose what you want. A variety of curries are served, plus a dessert. I stayed 3 nights and ate dinner there twice as it was great and inexpensive. It is a little out of town on a hill but easily accessible by tuk-tuk or scooter.

Waking up with sunlight streaming into the house, birds singing, and greenery all around… such a refreshing way to start the morning.

This is absolutely fantastic accommodation. The room is lovely with a view of pond but the real blessing is Mangelika with her husband who make you feel like you are the most special person in their universe. Do not hesitate to visit them, you will not want to stay anywhere else.
