Served in the villa and in the restaurant area. The food was the best we’d had in Sri Lanka.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. We like the people, especially the manager Inbaraj, who is a great and kind man. He showed us the cinnamon plantations and explained how everything is used, he was so kind. We liked the dinner, the best chicken curry we tried so far in Sri Lanka, also there was a desert, we liked a lot. The room was clean, sanitized, everything was great, the view from our room was great. Mr. Inbaraj also treat us with the best papaya juice, coffee and the plantation harvests. We are so grateful and happy that we choose this place for our stay in Yala. The place is also near the Yala park, which was great as well.

Right from the time, we booked the room , we got prompt response each time. The service and facilities were excellent. We had a relaxing time there. The food was excellent. The safari they arranged to block 5 and 6 was also very good.We saw many animals there including leopard.Highly recommended

We liked the unique accommodation in the middle of nature and close to the lake. The hosts are very welcoming and helped us with the transfer and with the organization of a safari and a trip to the lake. The food prepared by the host was excellent. The cottage is located in a garden where we saw many beautifully colored birds. We loved hearing the birdsong in the morning! We felt very good here! Thank you!

Situated 2.9 km from Tissa Wewa, New Vilard offers a garden, and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Very clean room and bathroom. Everything was very clean. The host was very welcoming and received us with wood apple juice. The room was exactly as described, with a good AC working perfectly and hot shower. The room was spacious, the breakfast was good and enough to start the day. For the day with the safari, the host provided breakfast when getting back, which was very nice. The homemade dinner was very tasty and abundant. Also the host helped us to take the bus nearby the accommodation. Highly recommended if you go to Tissa and want a peaceful place to stay. The only minus could be that WiFi works well outside, in the room the signal is weak.

Tranquil setting surrounded by rice fields and garden to relax and enjoy. Spacious rooms and bathroom. Clean! Breakfasts were amazing with a different delicious menu daily! Sanjeewa arranged a full day Yala National Park safari with Tilac who was the best and most determined to find a leopard for us. He did! Sanjeewa gave me a city tour to the bat trees and temple, inviting me to try a local healthy tea. Overall a very relaxing, enjoyable stay. Easy walk into town or thru the rice field village.

Hilton Yala Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and private beach area in Yala. 21 km from Situlpawwa and 22 km from Tissa Wewa, the property provides a terrace and a bar. Great location for yala safari. Resort is stunning. Staff are kind and friendly and helpful. Spa was worth doing, I went at night so I didn’t waste the day at the spa. Gym was great. Pool was unreal. All the food was great. Great breakfast. I had a great stay and will be back.
