Just 5 minutes’ walk from Turangi town centre, Creel Lodge is a 4.5-star Qualmark rated motel offering self-contained suites with a private patio and BBQ facilities. We felt welcomed. The parking was easy. The apartment had everything we needed except for washer. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The location has very nice surroundings. It is however not in the town centre which for us was an advantage.

Very warm greetings before and after we check in. Everything is so gorgeously set and arranged in the beautiful house. Perfect for 5 family members to stay in 3 seperate rooms. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Mary was very knowledgeable about the hikes in the area. The location was very convenient for visiting Tongariro National Park. Not to mention Mary's delicious breakfasts!

Located in Taupo, The Village Resort provides air-conditioned rooms and barbecue facilities. This property also provides guests with a children's playground. Everything was perfect. We wish we could've stayed longer! Just across the street from the lake, walkable distance from the rest of the town, super friendly hosts and exceptional property. It had literally everything we needed for a family of 3, and especially loved the bathroom with the heater and great amenities. The fresh bottle of milk was delicious as well!
