This lodge is just amazing! The rooms are very comfortable, the owners are very kind, the facilities are of high quality (over 300 DVDs, an arcade video game from the 90's, books and games), and the breakfast is excellent! Very well located also if you want to take a cruise from Kaiteriteri to hike in Abel Tasman National Park.

Set in Marahau, 300 metres from Marahau Beach, Adventure Inn Marahau offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities. amazing hostel to stay. Good vibes around. Take few nights to enjoy everything the hostel is offering. There is live music some evenings, cinema, pool tables, nice garden, friendly staff and the owner. I made a lot of new friends there.

Kaiteriteri Reserve Apartments is set in Kaiteriteri overlooking the golden sand beach. The accommodation is air-conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. Great stay, very clean, great to have a washer and dryer, nice kitchen, great location

Waitapu Springs B&B is set in Takaka and features a spa and wellness centre and a shared lounge. This 3-star bed and breakfast features a spa experience, with its sauna and hot tub. Absolutely gorgeous place with a lovely garden and spa. Super quiet and tranquil and the owners are lovely. After 8pm the spa is for guests only so super quiet, I had the whole spa to myself most of the evening! The queen room had a rustic feel but also super luxurious and comfortable. Everything very clean. The cats are delightful too, super affectionate and love attention. This is probably my favourite place I’ve ever stayed, I came from being on the road in a small van for a while and a night here was just a luxurious break from van life. Highly recommend

Gladstone Motel is a 5 star property in Richmond. Guests can enjoy a continental breakfast on request. Motel is excellent and the hospitality is amazing. People here are amazing and so kind we loved staying here

Patons Rock Beach Villas is a 3-star property located in Takaka. This villa offers air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. Beautiful garden and surrounds - we relaxed and spent time in the sun. The villa had everything we needed and comfortable beds. We would come back here any time. Big tick for Ainslie for assisting us. Thank you for the stay.

Offering free WiFi and free on-site bus and car parking, Mohua Motels is located in Takaka. All accommodation offers a patio, fully equipped kitchenette and mountain and garden views. The owners were really interested in their guests, friendly and approachable for any discussion or questions. The location and facilities met our expectations, such that everything was provided to allow us to self cater. Centrally located with the shops and supermarket all within an easy walk. I would recommend people visiting the Takaka area to stay at this motel.

Located in Takaka, 10 minutes' drive from the beach, The Rocks Chalets features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site. Beautiful, quiet and peaceful place surrounded by nature. There is a glow worm cave in the property. The chalet had everything we needed and more, it was comfortable, spacious and cozy. 100% recommend
