Set in Tabuaço, within 19 km of Douro Museum and 30 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Quinta São Luiz The Vine House Douro offers accommodation with an infinity pool as well as free private... The location is outstanding, beautifully but simply furnished, the staff are superb and the food in the restaurant very good with a lovely polite and attentive manager. Really didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return.

Located in Ervedosa do Douro, 29 km from Douro Museum, Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. This is a vinyard (they don't make wine on site) and is tucked at the end of a valley, so all views were of the Douro river and wineries. The accommodation is distributed in different buildings and there is beautiful landscaping and outdoor seating, plus a pool looking over the valley. The food is very good (breakfast and dinner). We missed out on a wine tasking - you do need to book - but did our own by the glass on the restaurant terrace. Not really for kids, but for adults, a lovely place. The staff were super friendly and really did make us feel welcome.

This is a beautifully restored hotel that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but is just delightful on the interior. The owner-manager spent literally years carefully and thoroughly renovating this nearly 150 year old building, carefully preserving many old architectural elements that provide a truly charming atmosphere. The result is stunning! Also the breakfast buffet was amazing with such a wide array of delicious choices. Our stay here was well worth the slightly higher rate. The front desk staff turned out to be the owner and she was so helpful in directing us in exploring an old, nearby town that suited our interests perfectly.

Perched on a mountain top with panoramic views, Delfim Douro offers luxury accommodation with private balconies overlooking the Douro River. Enjoyed every aspect of the hotel.

Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. It was all in the details: the most wonderful stay. My only regret is not staying longer.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. Staff were excellent and view was great

Located in Vila Real, 14 km from Natur Waterpark, Casa dos Correios provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. My husband and I stayed just one night at the Casa dos Correios. It was easy to check in and when we had a problem with the television remote it was remedied immediately. The Casa is in a wonderful location.

Beautifully located, with peaceful hills and vineyards as far as the eye can see. Wonderful modern wooden houses, super comfortable and well-equipped, with high attention to details. A real luxurious vibe with a local authentic atmosphere.

A recently renovated bed and breakfast in Alijó, Quinta da Costinha offers sun terrace, private parking and sports facilities. The property was beautiful and the staff was very helpful. Comfort, cleanliness, everything we may ask for.
