He was able to help us arrange transportation to/from the guesthouse and also the safari jeep. The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

We had Sri Lankan breakfast and the lunch the lodge packed for our safari was a lovely curry. The evening meal was delicious too. The family is so kind and you feel very well looked after. They booked our safari, which was fantastic and we saw 2 leopards, elephants and a sloth bear as well as many more birds and animals. I'd recommend the village walk which the lovely sons took us on. We picked fruit and learned lots about the countryside. Also, book a night safari with the lodge. We had an amazing night and the whole family came with us in the jeep. They were great at spotting animals and the driver got us really close. We saw civits, fishing cats, a jackal, jungle cat and mouse deer. Overall, our stay was the highlight of our holiday.

Excellent location, few steps from the gate of the National Park! Room was very comfortable and very clean. Bed was super comfortable too and mosquito net provided. Air con was a welcome relief from the heat. Bathroom was also spacious and clean, hot water was great. The owner was the sweetest man, his nephew messaged to ask if I wanted dinner, I declined, but the owner knocked on my door to give me fruit and ice cream so I wouldn’t go hungry at night. So sweet! His nephew also provided me with a welcome drink and even took me on the safari. Highly recommend doing the safari with them, they were the most affordable and they really considered what animals I wanted to see and tried their best to find them. The breakfast, lunch and snacks were so good! I was very well fed! They were very accommodating to me and really put in effort to help me when my card had issues. I will definitely stay with them again.

The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a kettle. With a private bathroom equipped with a bidet and free toiletries, certain units at Wilpattu Wildhideaway also provide guests with a patio. All units at the accommodation include air conditioning and a desk. I stayed at this accommodation for two nights and really enjoyed my stay. The owner is very nice and gave me a lot of support in planning the journey to and from the hotel. He also planned the safari for me. This was a great experience as the guide had a lot of knowledge. Another highlight was the dinner. The room was perfectly fine for the two nights. The room was very clean. I can highly recommend this accommodation.

From the amazing buffet dinner they prepare for us, til the very uptight safari and guide they have associated with to do the guide safaris in wilpattu national park (btw this guide is the absolute best, incredibly knowledgeable and sweet person, made us see 3 leopards on a bad day...) The rooms are splendid, very nice and comfortable beds, bed sheets made in heaven... and the resort itself is very beautiful and just 10 min walk away from a splendid lake where we can also take a dive. Amazing

We loved the lodges, made 70% of natural product also by the owner himself with photographs taken in national parks which added to the whole safari vibe. The couple were fantastic, offering free walking safari upon arrival and seeing at our door with tray of tea and biscuits after long day on safari. Offering wake up calls (also with tea and biscuits) and fantastic breakfast and lunch on safari and also homemade Sri Lanka dishes for dinner each evening. Food was so tasty and they really put so much effort in to make it special and check that we were happy and had eaten enough. The lodge is clean, has everything you need (very effective air co) and cool bathroom with net at top to look out at nature and surroundings! They also arranged everything in terms of safari trip to Wilpattu and we got to see sloth bears and a lot more! Really loved our stay here. 100% recommend!

The room was very comfortable and clean, with a private pool and a beautiful river view. The bed was super cozy and the AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was excellent and really delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Wilpattu!
