The place is excelent if you want to stay with dogs, it´s all fenced. We were there in winter (almost spring), there are 3 heaters and we only used one every now and then. There´s also airco, which we didn´t use. Most of all, it has to be the cleanest place we´ve ever stayed!! We loved our stay and will definitely come back.

Highly recommend. It's really very nice & felt safe. The neighborhood is just off a main street, and the street is not paved, but cars did not drive fast because of the speed bumps. The door has three locks and there is a grating over the window, so nice and secure. The apartment was very clean and located within walking distance to small neighborhood shops and a large supermarket. There were nice towels for bathing, clean, comfortable linens, and enough supplies in the kitchen to make meal preparation easy. There was a good heater plus extra blankets. Also an oscillating fan for warmer times. The owners live on the adjoining property and were very accessible. A quick message brought them over to restart the heater and give me matches for the gas stove. My plans changed and I would have like to extend two extra days, but there was another reservation coming in so I had to relocate. They were kind enough to drive me to my next place. *Note to anyone coming from the USA. I speak zero Spanish and they dont speak English. We used my translator and it was all good. **The ATM fees in Argentina are atrocious, so bring all the cash you can. Convert it at the airport before traveling, or convert it here. Either option would be less than I've spent on fees. And specifically here in Puerto Madryn, I could not get money from the four ATMs I tried. The property prefers being paid in cash or Argentina bank transfer, but we did figure out that PayPal can be used in a pinch. The family was VERY helpful trying to givee me options for making the payment.

I was in another apartment and needed to extend my stay but they were already booked for other incoming guests. Monoambiente las lilas was just a few streets away, so it made my move easy. The owner was out of town, but we communicated easily by texts and she was always responsive. 🙃 The apartment is very large and comfortable. Everything was clean, there was plenty of toilet paper 🧻 which other places supplied only a little. The kitchen was stocked with enough plates, glasses, and cooking tools to make it a comfortable stay 🍽. There are two gas heaters, one at each end of the space 🔥. It was very chilly when I arrived, but I turned the heat up then walked just a couple of streets for grocery supplies and it was toasty warm when I returned. Within easy walking distance there are two vegetable 🥦 shops, a meat 🍖 market, a chicken 🐔 store, a spices shop 🌶, an ice cream 🍦 shop, and a larger grocery in the other direction. Very convenient. It's about a 30 minute walk )or a 6 minute Uber) to the waterfront. There's a 🍕pizza & empanadas 🇦🇷 store called "Pizza House" in that area and the empanadas are really good. For tours, I recommend Sentir Patagonia Travel. It's family owned for 20 years and they had great service.
