It was close to all the excursions we planned, as well as grocery stores and restaurants, yet far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. I was pleasantly surprised by how much natural light filled the house, and we had plenty of privacy. The house is perfect for a couple. We enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi tub, and everything in the house felt like new. I was surprised to see how long the listing has been available because the owners clearly take great care of the place. The owner is amazing. Coming from the U.S., I was initially concerned about a listing that requested cash at the start of the stay, but I’m so glad I was wrong. She met us in person, gave us a tour of the house, answered all our questions, and made us feel completely at home. She even went above and beyond. After I left without buying a stand for a postcard, she took care of it for me. We plan to stay here again on our next trip to Arenal. If you’re on the fence, rent the place. You won’t regret it.
