The hotel was very clean and all the amenities were just as described The room was very spacious, the air condition and fan made it very comfortable. Jivanji was very hospitable and all the staff were very polite. Breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the ocean. A good variety of Swahili goodies.

The multiple pools, each set in its own secluded courtyard, are perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the island or the historic Old Town, and the waterside restaurant is totally delightful. Best of all, the team are so warm, welcoming and genuine - they really embody the spirit of Lamu and Kenya.

The air conditioning in the bedroom was fantastic. It was a huge bedroom with closet space, lots of room to put your stuff, and a large ensuite bathroom. The location was great, right on the waterfront, close to water taxis, etc. The staff were so friendly and were always there if you needed them. After check out, they called to inform us we left a few things in the room, we left them on purpose, but it was nice to get a follow-up call.
