The food was great and we were offered a choice of taking our breakfast early before chimpanzee tracking or taking it to go - normally packed hotel breakfasts are disappointing but this was one of the best - freshly prepared fruit, pizza, cookies and cakes - it was delicious and perfect after a mornings hiking! If you are coming to Nyungwe Forest National Park (which is a must if you visit Rwanda!) then you absolutely have to stay here! Thank you to all of the staff who made our time here special!

With Nyungwe Forest National Park reachable in 24 km, Chimpanzee Lodge features accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Wonderful people, great views and great food. Would recommend highly to anyone visiting the Nyungwe area.

The staff was very accommodating! Food was very good. Location and lake views were beautiful, especially the sunset over the water. The cottage we stayed in was good for 2-4 people. The staff prepared a fire in the evening out on the porch for us.
