Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Pool was great and plenty of lounge chairs with sun and shade. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast made to order and plentiful. Dinners also tasty.

Everyone was so incredibly welcoming, supportive and friendly during our stay, taking the time to visit with us during meals and helping to accommodate our relatively packed time on Mafia. We felt truly at home and only wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the grounds. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by curious monkeys and saw several elephant shrews as a bonus to our stay. The whale shark excursions that they offer are best on the island (we tried one other operator as well), being not only efficiently run and catering to all demographics, but also very educational and responsibly run by a team that is clearly passionate and informed about the animals. He organized for a tuk tuk to pick us up at the airport on arrival and he called one for us anytime that we needed it. He’s also very helpful to organize tours and activities. Location is great, outside of the marine park area so there’s no tax to pay everyday and it’s where locals live. Close to the beach and a few min of tuk tuk to the airport area where there are a few nice places to eat, it’s also possible to go there walking, which we did every time, you just need the torch. Also not far away from the marine park by tuk tuk. Room is basic but exactly as in the pictures, pretty spacious and clean. There is no hot water but that honestly is not a problem at all considering the temperatures, besides, I think this is the same in pretty much the whole island. Breakfast is good and they are also very flexible on the time if asked. Value for money is great so overall it’s the perfect place to explore Mafia on a budget. Hope to come back. Asante sana!

I can not put in words how much I loved this place and the amount of gratitude I have for the manager. It’s a beautiful serene place with a beautiful pool area and delicious food as well as great apartments. The people working here are super friendly, beyond kind and helpful. Even during a medical emergency they remained calm and supportive.
