Architecturally stunning, if you like 1920's Julia Morgan style. Large beautiful public rooms filled with books, even a working area with tables and free coffee, and a grand piano. Beautiful breakfast room with white table clothes and very nice pastries. An amazing ~75 ft long pool which was nearly empty in the early evening. My room had a beautiful view of the Berkeley hills. Thick towels, nice linen. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Santa Clara University is less than a mile from this hotel. Free Wi-Fi and a free daily continental breakfast is offered. Rooms feature a flat-screen cable TV. Property was new, clean and well furnished. The air conditioning and cooling was good and the internal room furniture was as expected. The breakfast was unlimited with a lot of options including eggs and other bread items. The reception lady was friendly and happy to help.

The location was fine. There is a beautiful park and walking path adjacent to the hotel. The room was nicely updated, the bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. I was pleasantly surprised. The outside of the hotel is deceptive because the lobby, restaurant, pool area, and the rooms in comparison are stunning!
