I booked this for my elderly mother, who was getting the ferry from Sardinia on her own, and given our outward journey was very delayed, I had written to the host, Tanya, saying that my mother might arrive late that evening and was reassured that there would be no problem at all with her getting access to the flat - whatever time she arrived. My mum texted Tanya when she got a taxi from the Port, and was met at the flat. Tanya then showed her somewhere she could eat that evening and offered to come back the next morning to drive her to the station to get her early train to Florence. Exceptional kindness. You couldn't ask for more.

We were only there for a few hours, checking in late from the train station and leaving early for the ferry, and it rained and hailed heavily in the night and morning. BUT, in other circumstances, we would have enjoyed the terrace and the space. Spotlessly clean with everything provided and comfortable. Livorno is much more spread out than we thought, but a bus from the station stops right outside, and there are food shops close by. A bus ride takes you to the port, or a 40 minute walk. Getting to the ferry without a car was a challenge but next time we know that there is a shuttle bus direct to the Corsica ferry. We would have been happy to stay longer in the flat, and would recommend it.

We had the pleasure of staying at La Villa Apartments for just one night — and that’s our only regret. This place is a true oasis hidden between residential buildings, and stepping into the beautifully landscaped gardens feels like discovering a secret retreat. The host Letizia was absolutely wonderful – warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were immaculate, tastefully furnished, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable — perfect after a long day of travel. Whether you're staying in Livorno for a night or a week, this is the place to be. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and relaxing garden. If you visit Livorno – don’t make our mistake. Stay longer. Highly recommended!

A large clean amazing apartment in the centre of Livorno. Free secure underground garage for the car at a location 1min walk away. The seafront and the town centre are both only a few minutes walk away. Good value for money. Rafaele is a great host.
