I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the owner was exceptionally kind and helpful. He truly went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us great local tips. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, cozy, and perfectly located just a short walk from the town center — very convenient for exploring the area. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious homemade breakfast each morning. Everything was fresh, tasty, and made with care — a perfect way to start the day. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located stay with a personal touch. We’ll definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The view of the Lion Rock is fantastic! The cabin was perfect for us:) Peter called me when we arrived and explained all ins and outs of the area and gave us some great advice. He was happy to answer any of our questions any time of the day. The cabin with its garden are very private and amazing for some wildlife spotting. Our kids loved it. There is also a wood-fired pizza oven in the garden. Sumith put the fire on for us and Raja swiftly organised and delivered yeast and flour from the local bakery for our pizza baking experience:) We all had a lot of fun kneading the dough and baking pizza in a real outdoor pizza oven! It was delicious:). We used bicycles provided free of charge, washing machine and there is a drinking water dispenser in the cabin, so no need to buy bottled water:) We loved seeing wild chickens coming to the garden and peacocks were always a good entertainment for the kids;) Sumith brought us, freshly picked from the garden, jackfruit to try;)

The properly was very comfortable with spacious rooms and a very comfortable bed. There were construction works ongoing during our stay, which the staff informed us of before we arrived but they caused no disruption to our stay. They were ongoing outdoors and minimal. Not noisy and did not impact us. The staff went above and beyond and ensure we had what we needed, serving us a wonderful breakfast. There is a lovely view of a rice fields out the back of the property and when the construction is finished you will be able to see the lions rock from the front of the upper floor!

The hospitality was so great, and the family were lovely. They could drive us where ever we wanted with their tuktuk. The treehouse was very cute. The dinner was authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry, and it was amazing. They asked us what our favourite vegetables was and made food of it. Will recommend to stay here!

What can I say about Sajee and his family! We stayed in one of their rooms for 6 nights to rest and explore the area and they made us feel like family the whole time! The room was very clean, the mattress and pillows very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My favourite part was the patio in the front surrounded by trees and nature. All we could hear for days was the sound of the animals which was sooo relaxing! We spent hours relaxing and reading our books there. He also had excellent breakfast every morning, home cooked, and we were asked very often if we needed something (towels, cleaning, toilet paper etc). His son also took really good care of us. He gave us local teas and snacks to try which was so nice. They also helped us with our Tuktuk a couple of times that we needed it. We can’t thank them enough🙏🏼 we will definitely be back! Tip: while you’re there try the cooking class they offer once daily but book a few days in advance to be sure! People were coming every day for the class and we decided to try it too and didn’t regret it. We learned so much about the local cuisine and spices and we had such a delicious meal in the end🙏🏼

I had a wonderful stay there. The property is next to the jungle with a beautiful garden where you can spend hours with watching all kind of different birds. It is just a couple of minutes walking distance to the town but it is so quiet and peaceful there. The family is lovely and they help you with everything you need. The facilities are basic but tidy and need.
