It is a great sized house with two bedrooms and a kitchen with everything you need. The owners were amazing and made us breakfast one morning and also helped us out with anything we needed, I would recommend staying here as it’s so close to mirissa beach (10 minute walk).

Thank you! Hosts are really hospitable and friendly. They kept in touch every time when I needed it, organize transfer to airport, cooked delicious welcome dishes every day for free The location is comfortable, there are a few minutes to the beach and modern restaurants. You may see monkeys and peacocks there, it is quite atmospheric.

Good location. Beach, fruit shop within walking distance. Low price. The owners of the villa are very pleasant, they help with all questions and treat you to fruits from their garden. Good price for renting a bike. The room is clean, very good mattress. There is also a table, chair, hanger and fan.

It was absolutely tremendous place! I would say it is the best place to stay, especially if you have a child. I care about our house to be nice and clean. This house is totally clean. No insects, no dirt. Everything is new and clean. We usually had a breakfast and lunch outside after having a shower outdoors! The host is a super kind man. He did everything for us to feel comfortable. He is also super polite and calm. We loved this place and wish we knew about it earlier. Not similar to other Shri-Lanka villas, the house is modern. Has all the equipment in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Even the washing machine is clean and fresh! Please choose this place if you want to feel in Marissa like home.

First, you should know that Google maps are slightly off in Mirissa. There are streets that do not exist, and some are not marked. That's why the location in Booking actually shows you one place, from which you can walk by following the signs. They are very clear and are located on each turn. The location of the "Green Bird" on Google is correct, other than the wrong streets :). I added a photo with a description. 1. We booked both rooms, the main difference is a kitchen (quite good) in one of them. The rooms are spacey, clean and convenient. The doors to the rooms are on the same internal patio the door from the host's family house exits. 2. You can eat on the patio outside of the rooms. The outside fan is really nice to cool you down (also in the shade). 3. Location is 10 minutes away from the city center with the following things next to each other: the supermarket, market stalls (fruits and vegetables in the supermarket are usually 50% more expensive than on the street shops), and a liquor shop. Just a few more minutes further is a beach. 4. The host is sweet and caring and had foreseen all our request beforehand, adjusting to the group specifics. 5. Some reviewers mentioned the night noise. It was a 5-10 minutes village-wide dog barking (you might've heard it if you were in the villages before) and an occasional wild pheasant bird shout in the morning. It wasn't bothering our group, but if you are sleeping with a hair-trigger awareness, I recommend you to bring ear plugs into Sri Lanka in general, not just Mirissa. The wilderness is very close to people's houses and is noisy sometimes.

Honestly was probably our best stay in Sri Lanka. In the past we ran out into an issue that reviews/photos on booking don't reflect the reality but not in this case. The property looks better in reality. Super clean and we had everything we needed and staff was so helpful. It is a 10 minutes drive from the beach but you can rent a scooter from the property. And it is super quiet, we had such a relaxing time having breakfast with squirrels and birds. The villa was build by the owner family and you can tell that they are proud of their work and they maintain it very well. Overall, amazing, book there you won't regret it.
