The location of the property was excellent, you are right by the beach front and the town. The B&B was very clean and comfortable. The jacuzzi was amazing on a cold night. The host was very nice. The apartment was large, spotlessly clean and had everything (a fully equipped kitchen, bathrobes (which were very om point, considering the fact the weather was very cold for the end of May, and it was a bit chilly in the evenings), a fridge with a freezer, a hair drier etc.) The neighbourhood is very safe (well, Urk IS a very safe city in general), there are two bakeries, a supermarket, a sweets store and a slaughter shop next door. The beach is a few minutes away by foot.

Everything brand new, recently converted. We wanted to stay in an apartment that felt like home, where if the weather was bad you could curl up on the couch and read or watch tv. Check, check and check. Huge kitchen living area fully stocked with utensils. The neighborhood supermarket is across the street. We made breakfast at home and ate out the rest of the time. Three minute walk to center of village with 3 restaurants and a bakery. Beds and bathroom were excellent, super clean. Host lovely. Beautiful countryside.
