Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the room was spacious and clean, Andrea, the owner, went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable, the location was great and the castle ruins just above made a lovely backdrop!

Located 600 metres below Melk Abbey, which belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage, Hotel Stadt Melk offers free WiFi and parking, and newspapers.

We were in Austria for a few days after our trip to the Tatra Mountains, as rail fans, we were pleasantly surprised to find a railway passing through the hotel car parks. there are regular freight train movements to the local Power Plant and the port on the river Danube. So a win win for us. Hotel staff, breakfast and Restaurant were excellent. Some good walks available on the golf course footpaths. We are not golfers, but it looks a nice location for those interested in the sport.

We were moved to the sister hotel which was a great location right opposite where the ships stop. Frau Pichler is very welcoming and fun, the restaurant has a lovely garden area, staff is great, we borrowed e-bikes from the hotel, the room was nice, breakfast was nice, the whole package was just perfect

This is a pretty location in the countryside on a lake. We enjoyed the informal atmosphere and the restaurant service and food were excellent. It is easy to reach from the Danube cycle Trail.

The staff were so kind to us. The location is breath-taking. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony with a view over the valley and we felt so spoilt. The breakfast provided was much more luxurious and varied than we've had at other places in a similar price-range - there were even local delicacies available. The location is superb, right next to the Danube. We hired bikes from about 50 yards from the entrance to the hotel and were able to cycle beside the Danube and enjoy the river ferry too. We would love to come back!
