The area, it's superb, not too crowded with about a dozen places to eat. There's a couple of nice walks nearby including one along the coast to the chapel of St Paul which takes about 2 hours. The water is also clear compared to some of the fine sand beaches.

Very nice little hotel, romantic style. Close to the beach and the best sea view from the balcony. Breakfast served at the bar at the beach - the most wonderful and delicious homemade breakfast. The staff vere so nice and friendly. We will come back to this nice village and enjoy this breathtaking spot at the end of Samaria gorge!

This is an exceptionally clean and well-run, family-owned hotel. New, clean bathrooms. The level of personal attention is equal to that of a five star hotel. The hotel is just next to the beach, half of the rooms are directly facing the sea, the other half have a partial sea view. Agia Roumeli as such is a bit of a hidden gem, with a clean, turquoise sea inviting to swim, and more facilities than one normally could expect. This is due to the hikers that arrive every day via the Samaria gorge, but that mostly leave again on the 16:30 ferry.

    The absolute quietest and most relaxing place I have stayed at. We slept there for one night after finishing the Samaria gorge hike and would have gladly stayed more. There are free sun chairs and parasols on the practically private beach at the foot of the hotel and two kayaks that can be borrowed. I cannot stress enough how well we rested there.

    We had a really amazing stay with Anna, Pavlos and Dimidris who are so welcoming. Its a beautiful place, last house on the beach but part of the little village and port. It is the perfect place to just relax at the beach but also for hiking into the stunning landscapes of the Samaria Gorge. The breakfast was wonderful with amazing homebaked croissants and cakes. We really hope to come back soon.

    The location was remote, quiet but easily accessible by foot. The owners recommend to call the to drive you to the property, 300 meters away from the port. If you managed to descend Samaria gorge then extra 300 meters is nothing. Private beach below, free sunbeds, sun umbrellas and use of canoes.

    Right by the sea. Just a walk down some steps from the room to the quiet beach with very clear water and good snorkeling. Hotel on its own, 7 min walk to the village so the beach is more like a private beach. Wonderful outlook. Nice size balcony. Good restaurant. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Sun loungers provided free of charge. Lift provided to the port when leaving if needed. Room spacious and clean. Good Aircon. Definitely hope to return.

    Andreas met us and our rooms were ready in the early afternoon after our Samaria Gorge walk. Great ocean view with a patio. We could use the private beach in front with lounger chairs and enjoy a swim with beer and cocktails served from the bar.

    Gigilos is right on the beach which we enjoyed. The view from our balcony was fabulous! The bed was very comfortable and the linens were nice and clean. We liked having the included sunbeds.
