Beach Hotels in Bukit Lawang

It was a really pleasant stay!! We stayed here 2 nights before our jungle trek and 1 after as we really liked it. You have your own private terras with an amazing river view! The room was very clean and even has a ventilator so you can have a chill breeze when sleeping. The staff is extremely nice and they will do everything to serve you. They have just built a new terras that will open soon and serves cold drinks but even now they will jump on the motorcycle and fetch whatever u want. The breakfast is included and banana pancakes are always a good idea. It is not in the city centre but with a little hike of 10 minutes you are already there and in return you have a really beautiful view and only the sound of nature. In resumé, i really recommend this place if you are looking for something in Bukit Lawang.

To say we loved Jungle Inn is a huge understatement; we adored and fell in love with Jungle Inn! ❤️ We got there as customers and left as friends. It was our paradise for 8 days and we can't wait to go back. The location is gorgeous, the hotel is beautiful and the people are out of this world, the most helpful, nice and friendly staff you will ever meet. Of course, Jungle Inn and Bukit Lawang are not for everyone. If you expect the luxury of the western world then this is not for you, but if you want an authentic experience with amazing people then go. At the Jungle Inn here my dreams came true: to see orangutans (I saw many!) and to see the Titan Arum flower. Furthermore, we did a river tubing expedition and stopped for barbecue, saw the Friday market, took a tuk-tuk tour of the village or took a walk along the river and went to the Kupu-kupu Garden, the next remote hotel, for a coffee or Bintang. And because the food at Jungle Inn is absolutely fabulous, we took a cooking class! 😁So be prepared for the adventure of a lifetime and you will never regret it! Note: there are a lot of steep stairs. Write them in advance if you want an easily accessible room or need a room with air conditioning.

Very comfortable place literally 10 meters from the river in a quiet area of the village. It was recently opened so everything is fresh, new and clean. I would definiately stay here again.

Jhonny and his family/crew are some of the warmest genuine people I have ever met, their level of customer service goes beyond anything I have ever experienced. Nothing was any problem and if there were any issues they were addressed immediately. The crew will look after all you needs from cooking delicious breakfasts to fabulous local lunch's and dinners from the extensive menu. The organised tours be it trekking/bat caves/local village tours are first rate, with a huge special mention to my "Jungle Brother" Rasta, who is not only a knowledgeable and great guide, but a fantastic and witty bloke and we shall remain friends via social media until our return. The accommodation is 5 stand alone huts which contain everything you need and a food/bar area, on three occasions in the week we were there an Orangutan dropped by for a visit (mind blowing) not to mention the 8+ we saw during our day trek with Rasta. Been in SE Asia for 6 months and Bukit Lawang was definitely a highlight. Alek and his team were so welcoming and made the stay unforgettable would definitely recommend to anybody wanting to visit Bukit Lawang to stay here! Jungle life 🫶🏻

This is a wonderful guest house in a peaceful location, a 30 minute walk along the river. Porters are available for a small fee. A fabulous view into the jungle. Arif, Riski and the girls in the kitchen provide a friendly, laid-back atmosphere and create amazing meals. All the guests eat dinner together, a great communal experience. Some of the rooms have outside jungle bathrooms. Staying here was the highlight of our trip to Indonesia.
