Absolutely beautiful property. We had breakfast on our terraza every morning. Very spacious and comfortable accommodation. Best area of the beach. 15-20 minute walk to town along the beach past numerous beach bars and restaurants. Great staff. Just remember that you are not in the Four Seasons in Cancun...if that's your jam, Isla Holbox isn't for you. But if you want a buena vibra in a more relaxed atmosphere...you won't be disappointed.

Quiet and peaceful paradise! The villa is gorgeous and so are the rooms - luxury for Mexico indeed (e.g. hot water with strong pressure, nice interieur). We felt right at home. It was also great that the guests can use the big and well equipped kitchen (I didn’t see it in the description, so it might be good to know in advance). in our opinion, there are more/ better restaurants at the other part of the island/ in the centre and even so you can walk along the beach in general, you might need a taxi in the evening. As there is no breakfast included we would recommend buying a few things in advance at the supermarket / market for fruits which is in the centre (good and cheap). Check out the beach clubs Mazura and Corolinda! As the villa is directly at the beach the view is amazing. We had a lot of seagrass (Check the best travel-time in terms of seagrass), but from the terrace the view was still nice and the smell not too bad (as at other places we passed). There are also a lot of mosquitos on that part of the island. The nicest thing was the team in the villa! Everybody was sooo friendly, offering coffee in the morning and just being there for us. It is also possible getting your laundry done for small money. There is a hotel next to the villa: „Nomade“. The food was too expensive for the equality, but the restaurant is very lovely and special and they offer nice sessions like Yoga, Sound Healing, which you can join and pay 20 or 25 US dollars. We would definitely stay there again (in fact, we even stayed one night longer than planned).

The staff has been incredibly friendly, very clean rooms, fantastic breakfast and also the offered yoga and pilates classes in the morning and afternoon activities have been much appreciated. The location is beautiful and doesn’t want to make you leave this paradise. Also the beach was clean, and the sunbeds are nicely located with enough space inbetween each other. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to recharge and relax!

The hotel is beautiful, very well maintained. Located next to the nicest part of the holbox beach. Rooms are really comfortable, every evening there is a sweet snack in the fridge. Restaurant and beach club and pool are very beautiful. Service is really great, helpful and they remember your preferences and allergies. They are really nice and making your stay very welcoming !

This place is exceptional. There are so many thoughtful touches within the room and hotel that make your stay easier and more relaxing. The bed is very comfortable, the rooms are a good size with plenty of storage and the bathroom is great. Breakfasts each day are delicious and come with a view over the forest where we even saw flamingos flying. The beach club is a short walk away and a great place to relax. What really makes this place though is the people working there who are incredibly friendly and helpful. They provide so much useful information before arriving and arranged some amazing experiences that made our holiday feel even more special. Can't recommend this place enough.

Casa Takywara is located just outside the town, where the beach is wider, and less crowded. Within ten minutes of walking on the beach you’re in te middle of town. The place is just great the staff is great, the rooms are nice, and even the dreaded mosquito’s all the reviews were talking about seem to be absent. At night the bio-luminescent algae were in the sea right in front of the house. We had a truly wonderful time at Casa Takywara, and on Holbox, wouldn’t hesitate a second to go back.
