We loved absolutely everything there. It is on a perfect spot, in a lovely village close to an amazing surf spot. Spacious and very well equipped. From the first day we felt home. Gente d’aqui has an incredible location right next to the beautiful shore, with amazing views. The owner was incredibly helpful and went extra mile to help us organise additional activities. It is possible to get a massage on the property, which with the skilled massager, views, and sounds of waves was probably the best massage I ever had. There is a local bar right around the corner where we had a funny night with some great memories. Praia sete ondas just couple of minutes away with car, and boca do inferno is just couple of walking minutes away. All in all, I definitely recommend Gente d’aqui and love to return one day.

Emoyeni Gardens is best possible choice in town. Hotel is located by the beach and walking distance to city center. They have beautiful and well maintained garden and pool side, rooms are comfortable and really clean. Breakfast is great and stuff is kind and helpful. Alexa, the manager, will be more than glad to help you with car rental, island tours… she is simply the best!

The breakfast was a buffet style and was better and with more variety than most European or American 4+ start hotels. Good quality food, good use of local foods, very attentive service. I liked how they used some of the local chocolate syrups and preserves, as well as fruits and coffee. Excellent view of the sea for a bonus! We also had shows every evening, including a local live band and a youth orchestra playing local music. Both were great! The starts of this hotel however were the staff. The front desk was efficient, they were ready for the check in, they had the bill ready for the checkout, and they were always smiling and eager to help. The bartenders and maids were also friendly and proactive, very proactive, same for the towel person at the pool. And Bruna was fantastic! she was all over the place, talking to guests and helping in any way possible from getting taxis to organizing tours, making dinner reservations at local restaurants, etc. In summary, customer service was in line with or better than most 4+ star hotels in Europe or the USA.

The best aparthouse on the island, with virtually private beach and pier. Spacy and cozy, with big saloon and kitchen. Only 15 minutes on foot to the road, where You can catch collective buses. Only 30 minutes on foot to the Airport terminal. Our host was very helpful, he could arrange car transport if You don't like walking.

The guesthouse is a "perfect choice" with a great location, clean rooms, tasty food, and helpful owners. It's close to the beach and quiet. The view to the airport is stunning. I do recommend for families and also solo travellers who wish to come to this wonderful island. The owner has helped me with everything, from the tours with him, the free pick up and drop off at the airport, the best restaurants that he has taken me and so on.

Fernando was an excellent host, picked us up and brought us again to the airport and was very nice. The small apartment is very clean, in a very convenient location a few minutes from the airport. I would definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast was also great in the patio in the garden. Thank you for the excellent homemade juices!
