Wonderful hotel, loads of small touches to make it feel like 5 star. Beach and Pool area are amazing as are the grounds around the hotel. Breakfast in the club suite was really nice. Plenty of choice and no mad rush. Would visit again.

We were supposed to stay for 3 nights and after the first day we extended our stay by 7 more nights as we loved the feeling we got about Varana. The design of the bedrooms and the buildings overall were stunning and very unique - artistic and minimalist. The lay out of the bedrooms and facilities is also really nice- feels like a village filled with staff who always greeted us so warmly on every occasion. The facilities including an Olympic pool and gym were amazing and truly state of the art. What we loved most was the ethos and culture in Varana, one that made this resort feel like a holistic rejuvenation of mind, body and soul rather than just another resort like many others. The focus on holistic health was evident in the design of the menus and the breakfast buffet which offered fresh Thai teas tailored to different ailments such as bloating and indigestion, the relaxing spa and smell of beautiful aromatherapy oils, the onsen, the daily physical activity schedule including paddle boarding and aqua aerobics suited to all levels, the comfortable spaces to sit and lounge by many pools, not to mind the unique singing and chirping of birds in the morning and evening. The beach club nearby was also nice and we enjoyed some complimentary kayaking on the beach. It was truly a memorable experience for us and we already cannot wait to return.

Staff super friendly and helpful. Good English. On arrival we decided to upgrade for the seaview room. Very comfortable bed and sheets and big room. 7 eleven across the road and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Great view from bed on ground floor.

Krabi Sands Resort is located along Khlong Muang Beach, a 15-minute drive to the entertainment area at Ao Nang Beach.
