We had a great stay at Mandarin. Felt welcome from the beginning, the room was big and the sea view amazing both from the room and the restaurant. Enjoyed the beach. The location is great and the staff very friendly. We initially got a different room than the one we booked, but the hotel manager went out of his way to make up for it. Would stay there again.

We came here at the very end of our trip for a couple days of relaxation after all the travelling. The location is quiet with not much around it but that didn't matter to us because we were looking to enjoy the resort. The resort in amazing! Absolute paradise. The staff are incredible, everyone is so friendly and kind. The pools are beautiful, the stairways to the ocean are amazing. Beautiful sunsets. The rooms are gorgeous and so clean, the most comfortable bed out of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip to Zanzibar. They have turn down service in the evenings which was so lovely to experience. The entertainment was different every evening and it was brilliant every time. All hotel facilities were amazing also. The food was great for the most part and the drinks were good too. We just want to give a special mention to one of the staff members who took part in the Aqua gym, and the pool volleyball. We think his name was Amos? He was the friendliest, most cheerful young man. We loved chatting to him everyday. He is very young, 17 years old I think, and his English is so good and he's so keen to learn. We were so impressed with him.

Hotel is fantastic. It is a wonderful resort with different types of rooms. We stayed in 2 deluxe rooms for a family (2 adults and 2 children) and was very pleasant. Both rooms were communicated which was very useful. The hotel has everything you need for a holiday. Several restaurants and bars, medium size swimming pool, quick access to the beach with facilities. There was enough space for everything in every moment. It never seems that it is fully occupied. People is smart and gentl always trying to make your stay to be perfect. A very recommendable place for a quiet stay.

It was my birthday and I was surprised with a cake and staff sang for me including the live band during dinner.Very thoughtful and nice of them. By the time I retired to my room,another surprise was waiting. They made up the bedroom beautifully with flowers and candles and wrote a happy birthday with my name. The manager Rakeesh ( I hope I spelt his name correctly) was also very nice and arranged some entertainment at The Pavilion Restaurant . Upon checkout,we had missed breakfast and Benjamin was kind enough to offer us pizza. Thank you to all the staff at The Residence. You made my stay beautiful. Also the privacy of having your own pool was really nice.

Salida beach is quite a peaceful place the staff are very helpful I was only there for a night but I enjoyed my stay I will be definitely going back.
