The staff was very friendly and helpful. If I return to Gijón, I will probably stay at the same place.

Very nice decor, lovely tasty breakfast and overall I appreciated the little details - super fluffy and large bath towels, the toiletries etc. The bar/restaurant area is very chic and quiet.

Hotel Villadesella is a typical Asturian country house, dating from 1819, set 1.5 km from the town of Ribadesella. It has a restaurant, and an outdoor swimming pool set in large gardens. Friendly staff, great food, super clean. Amazing views. Only 1k walk to the beach.

Superb beachside location, very easy to find. On street parking can be a problem during busy times, so I recommend booking a space in their excellent on site underground carpark. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms exceptionally clean and spacious. The beds were super comfy with plenty of pillows. The restaurant was excellent value serving high quality Asturian dishes, with a good selection of wines to suit most tastes and pockets. Breakfast was a buffet self service, but with a good selection of cold meats, cheeses, pastries etc. If I had only one small criticism it would be that no hot option was available, even poached or fried eggs would have been welcome.
