The place exceeded our expectations, the beach below was stunning and very private, many time we had it to ourselves. The small taverna a 15 min walk away made home cooked traditional meals with cheese made in house. The restaurant Chris recommended our last night was the best meal we had on the Island and the setting was in a quaint square in the town a 15 min drive worth every kilometre.

Pyrgos Traditional Village is located near the main port of Agios Kirikos, in Ikaria’s capital. The complex features sea-view villas, and a pool, a garden and a large terrace.

Built in a traditional architectural style, the complex offers free parking. Several narrow stone-built paths lead to the central pool and gardens. Pyrgos is an amazing place - a little paradise! We loved every minute - the pool is perfect - surrounded by greenery and with stunning views. We were upgraded which was a wonderful surprise and spent lots of evenings enjoying the sea view from our balcony. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and took great care of us! We had the occasional cute little visitor (😻) which made our holiday all the more enjoyable 😊 I just can’t wait to return! The walk into the village is about 15-20 mins down a steep hill. We really enjoyed the walk to/from the village for dinner but for some it might be difficult.
