Guest rooms at Akasha Beach Club include air conditioning and a desk. Absolutely fantastic place – easily one of the highest standards you’ll find on Sulawesi. Yes, the price is on the higher end, but you get what you pay for: everything works seamlessly, the service is outstanding, and the staff are genuinely exceptional. They’re also great at arranging local boatmen for custom-made snorkeling trips and excursions to nearby islands – all at very reasonable prices. The beach is well-maintained and largely free of plastic, great for swimming and spotting the occasional fish. For the more impressive snorkeling, you’ll need to go a bit farther out – the easiest way is to hire a local boat that picks you up directly from the shore. We stayed in the suite, which is enormous and comes with two incredible private terraces. Nice views. The only thing missing? A shared swimming pool would make it perfect. Only two rooms have a private pool - not the suite.

We used the rooftop for morning coffee and yoga, and there is a well-stocked kitchen area in case you should need to cook. The host was so kind, welcoming, and also helped us get some laundry done quickly before we left. It seemed to us a great value for what we paid as well. We already stayed here again since our first stopover in Makassar and would definitely recommend this property.
