There are not enough words to describe how this place is wonderful. Starting from serene location, great ambience to unbelievable staff. Food is great also, guys are super flexible and they will do their best to prepare something even if it’s not on the menu. Free tuk tuk rides to the beach are also amazing. Special thanks to Kavindu and Neel for being amazing. P.S they have a newly opened restaurant White Tree so definitely check it out! I am definitely coming back next vacation.

Wow what a great place to relax and enjoy your privacy. A bit away from everything but it was perfect for us... The villa was spacious and clean and it was extremely private.. lovely breakfast. The staff was very kind and attentive. The food was a bit pricey after adding all the taxes and service charge, but it was really good.

A piece of heaven in the countryside of Sri Lanka. The villa is located inside a beautiful garden and just 10 min from the beach. The host will do everything to make you feel at home. I really appreciate that the host took me to visit the surrounding area free of charge. The breakfast was delicious, with a choice of Sri Lankan, Indian or Western food. For a very reasonable price, he also offers an excellent dinner. Thanks again :)

We stayed here after traveling around Sri Lanka for a week and it was perfect! The family who runs this hotel is really adorable and they will make sure that everything is fine for you, they will help you if you need anything and they serve really good breakfast. You have the choice between English Breakfast and Sri Lankan breakfast, as we stayed for a week we could enjoy the both of them and we always loved it. The room is clean, there is still no hot water but it is not really cold so you still can enjoy a shower especially after a warm day at the beach, which is only at 2min by walk ! There is also a lot of restaurants near the place, and they can arrange you a tuktuk or a taxi if you need to go farther. I will recommend this place without any hesitation, it's really a good value.

We decided to end up our honeymoon spontaneously at the beach, so we were looking for a nice place in the surrounding of the airport, which is at the beachside and not a big hotel. And so Ahu Bay was definitely the right choice. It is a wonderful, modern and small hotel with delicious food and an almost private beach (at least in off season). The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Our room was big and we had the best rain shower we have ever had. And on top of that we had the perfect view over the ocean. Ahu Bay wants to save turtles. So there were baby turtles hatching out exactly when we were staying there. And in the evening hours they enabled us to let one of those one day old baby turtles go into the big ocean. That was an incredible feeling and you could see that also every single Ahu Bay employee was happy to watch that and maybe our baby turtle is the one out of thousand baby turtles that in 25 years will come back to this beach and will but their eggs on this beach.

The property is beautiful,clean and extremely well maintained but the most exceptional feature of La Perla is its staff and owners and most especially Alexandra and Nelson. They are not only gracious and accommodating but Nelson is an incredible chef. The best food we have had in Sri Lanka . His tiger prawns are the best I have had anywhere in the world!

From the time we checked in to when we checked out, the attention and courtesy we received from the staff was simply amazing. Their attention to detail and willingness to cater to our needs was refreshing to see. One example was the initiative taken by the chef to bake a "rice flour bread" when informed that one of our guests gluten intolerant. Special mention of Lalith, Sahas and Tharanga for their excellent customer service.
