On arrival at this lovely apartment, I immediately recalled the words of the writer Paul Scheerbart: “Glück ohne Glas - wie dumm ist das” i.e. “Happiness without glass - how silly is that.” Before me were three splendidly large windows, two of which revealed the wondrous broodiness of the Atlantic Ocean in all its glory. These served to remind me not only of my good fortune in having reached the western edge of the European continent but also that my happiness would be assured for the duration of my stay.

Beautiful historic property restored for comfort while showcasing the history. Fantastic location., incredible staff, and well furnished. Bed was comfortable. Great common areas too. Fresh baked chocolate cake was an incredibly nice touch.
