We loved staying here for a month. Milu was a super host, breakfast is delicious, staff wonderful, apartment spacious clean with everything we needed and location was perfect. Met Walter who was lovely and can't wait to return ! Highly recommend this beautiful guest house 🏠 👌 😍

Absolutely recommended. Outside the tourist areas this small hotel is in a safe part of tiny Santa Maria, close to the beach and also the city centre. We had the roof top room with a kitchenette (with everything.... even oven, dishwasher, freezer etc) and for our needs on this trip, it was the best hotel room I have ever had, it felt private with its own part of the terrace behind a little gate and had lots of Light and views in all four directions. Staff is wonderful and professional and cares for every guest taking an interest and trying to adapt to their specific needs. They arranged taxis (same price as if you book yourself) and we also had a good car rental experience through the hotel. Their recommendation with regards to local restaurants were perfect. Will return asap.

Exceptional room: high ceiling, spacious, clean, hot water with good pressure. Nothing wrong. A must if you visit Santa Maria, just behind the main touristic road.

Very friendly people, very clean, the breakfast was gorgeous the dinner also very good. The host can bring you to the airport and other place for small amounts of money.

The Appartment was clean and had a big balcony. The host was really accommodating and made the holiday much more comfortable, showing us around on our first day, giving us ideas of what to do, organising the activities and even driving us around if he had the time. Would recommend 10/10

Total experience was amazing. Starting from the warm welcoming untill booking a taxi to the airport the last day, Ricardo was super helpful and friendly. Appartment was easy to find and situated perfectly. Next to the beach, really close to the main street, neighbouring many cafes and restaurants. A good shop in a couple of minutes walk. You can find everything you need around, but still not too far from the city center or the Santa Maria Pier. Easy to catch a taxi if you need one. Kite lessons, renting gear for snorkling etc available downstairs. Appartment was super clean and had everything you need for a week stay, or even a longer one. Balcony view to the sea, two fans, mosquito net and warm water from the shower made it comfy. Would recommend and would definitely choose Pensao Alcinda Bettencourt again for my holiday 😊☀️

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a truly magical experience. First and foremost, we would like to express our deepest gratitude towards the warmhearted and incredibly supportive owner, Mr. Robert. He went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of exceptional. His vast knowledge of the city and his extensive connections truly make him the go-to person for all things Santa Maria. Whatever we needed, Mr. Robert was there to assist us, proving that he is indeed the man who knows everything and everyone in town. Thanks to Mr. Robert, we were introduced to the phenomenal Kiteschool "Surf Shop Cabo Verde." Our experience there was nothing short of fantastic. The professionalism of the instructors and their passion for kitesurfing were evident from the very beginning. Within just two days, my wife and I were able to kite almost independently, which was an absolute thrill. We are incredibly thankful to Mr. Robert for connecting us to this amazing kiteschool and making this experience possible. By the way, it is one of the best kiteschool in Santa Maria. Please book in advance. Not only did Mr. Robert provide us with an incredible kitesurfing adventure, but he also recommended the best restaurants in town. And believe us when we say he was spot on! Each and every dining experience was a culinary delight, leaving our taste buds in awe. Mr. Robert's knowledge of the local dining scene truly enhanced our stay, and we'd highly recommend following his recommendations for an unforgettable gastronomic journey. Now, let's talk about the penthouse. This place is simply the best with an incredible view. The moment we stepped onto the rooftop terrace, we were greeted by an awe-inspiring panorama of the ocean that left us speechless.

What a gem of a hotel! From the efficient check-in/check-out process, each moment was delightful. Also, the hotel has a very secure and safe environment. Overall, I had a great experience,the staff was accommodating, and the amenities were great. I booked a spacious studio which was beautiful, clean, and perfect to continue our trip in the Cape Verde islands!
