This property is just sheer luxury! I truly wish we could have remained there longer. Emmanuel and Yann are perfect hosts; they provided us with a huge room - the bed was the best ever I've slept in, there is a swimming pool, and the house is an example of the finest French architecture. The breakfast consisted of the best bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, honey from the local hives, jams, yogurts, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice, and coffee and tea!

Set just 16 km from Marmande Golf Course, La Chênaie features accommodation in Sainte-Marthe with access to pool with a view, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen.

Our hosts, Francis and Virginia, were very welcoming and immediately offered us a drink on our arrival. We had a very secluded room which was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and a lot was prepared by our hosts. Much thought had been put into thinking what their guests would like and how to make it comfortable. The property was very pretty and the views from the breakfast table with the pool in the foreground were outstanding. We would totally recommend this property for a stay and would not hesitate to return. Francis and Virginia also gave us local knowledge of how to avoid Bordeaux because the traffic was bad by telling us which route to go and recommending that we visit St. Emillion which was so very pretty. All in all a 10/10 visit. Thank you Francis and Virginia.

Carole, the host was friendly and helpful and her cooking, heavenly (especially the desert). The hut we stayed in had the usual plus lots of little extras that indicated an eye for detail and customer comfort. Bed was warm and comfortable. The outlook was beautiful. Its Location on the Canal bike track made it simple and easy.
