The breakfast was unbelievable. We had the full English breakfast every morning, as well as cereal and fruits. Mrs. M. is a wonderful person and it was always nice to meet her smiling face every morning. We stayed 8 nights and never tired of it! The spacious bedroom (#6) is charming with exposed beams and nice linens. Mark furnished a fan and we brought our own as well. With the windows closed and the fans on, heavy curtains pulled, we heard NO road noise. It would be noisy with windows opened, but we had been warned beforehand and did not have a problem. The location is mixed. Not much to see or do in the immediate area, but it is a shortish walk to the downtown (about 20 minutes). No restaurants except for an ordinary pub. We were there for the Chalke Valley History Festival and the location was perfect for that, about a 20 minute drive but not complicated. Parking was a huge plus. The owners (Mark & his parents) made the stay so special. I was reminded of trips to England in the 1970s, when B&Bs were very personal and homey. Thank you. We will be back next year!

Everything from the moment we arrived until we left. The building itself is very cute, the staff greeted us warmly and the room was sympathetic. Food was also amazing (we had onpy breakfast but would aasume lunch/dinner is also great). Additionally, I’m a light sleeper but I slept perfectly on the good bed and pillows.

This place was beautiful, host and staff were really friendly and helpful all the way through. Got great recommendations for food and for things to do. Also welcomed our 8yo in lovely way. Everything was clean and stylish, especially the garden was gorgeous!

The location in Salisbury is perfect, right by the train station (and the buses that take you to Stonehenge) but also only a short walk into town and to the Cathedral. The room was clean and the beds were super comfy! We had dinner at the Hettie Bells which was great and the breakfast there was also super nice - thanks Wren! :)

Upon arriving, we had some car problems that could have messed up our schedule... a saturday evening so no way to find a garage. Luke, who was filling in for a few days at The Barford Inn, turned out to have worked as a mechanic and he fixed the car so that we could safely continue our journey. Rest of the staff equally friendly, great breakfast! Thank you!!!

it’s a really pretty lovely local pub that does amazing food and the rooms are really lovely. quality bedding. very clean. your made to feel very well. it is in quite a remote area but for us that was a bonus. it’s in a lovely quiet area and beautiful.

    - great location, near the railway station (Salisbury), and the city centre - fabulous style of decoration both outside and inside (from lobby to room) - very comfortable and convenient, there is a private door for residents - clean, bright, fresh room - very nice staffs (love them)

    Large comfortable room (4) with plenty of surfaces to put things on (so often not thought about in B&Bs). Excellent breakfast, particularly enjoyed the amount and variety of fresh fruit and yoghurts available. Friendly welcome. Quiet despite being located on a quite busy road. Useful to have parking but there is a bus stop very close by if you're using public transport.
