We loved our brief stay at Burnside cottage. Close to the ferry at Gills Bay for the next morning. Kacey was so welcoming & the food amongst the best we sampled throughout our stay in Scotland! Even when my daughter left her favourite toy behind, Kacey posted it on to us! Thoughtful & great customer service.

The property is extremely central, with beautiful views of the surrounding buildings and of the sea. Everything’s close by and easily accessible by foot. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful, they’ll give you some amazing recommendations of places to eat, sights to see on your stay and welcome you down to join them at the bar during the evening. It’s a great place to meet the locals and get a proper Wick experience. The rooms are cozy, and spacious, with everything one might need for their stay. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and this is by far my favourite.

Very warm and welcoming hosts, James and Kirsty. The room is very clean and cozy, with everything you might need. The food deserves special mention: the breakfasts are excellent, and in the evenings, they offer delicious dinners at a reasonable price. There is a lounge area that is very cozy, and even a pool table is available. We highly recommend this place for a stay! The hosts will also gladly tell you about the local attractions.
