Everything was perfect. Family and staff was incredible friendly and very helpful. The trekking was amazing. I saw a lot of animals in the jungle. The Bungalows are beautiful. I have never felt so welcome in my life in a hotel. Adi, Coco, Sarah, Santa, Ellie, and everyone else. You are all amazing people. The amount of work you put in the Cheeky Monkeys and all this while wearing the biggest smile and showing the kindest heart is not to explain in words, only in experience. We had an amazing stay at Batu Kapal Guest House! Bayu, Aji and the boys really made us feel at home. The location is truly beautiful, in the jungle with a nice river for swimming. The last day, there were even 3 orangutans in de trees just behind our room! The food was also great, we even got a small cooking class because we liked the BBQ chicken so much :) We will miss this place and hopefully we can come back one time!

I loved my stay here! The bungalows are cosy and comfortable, located in a quiet area of forest away (but not too far) from the business of Bukit Lawang centre. There’s also a lovely river swimming spot just 5 min walk away! What made my time here the best was the kindness of Putra, Maya, and Fitraya. They are all lovely and make sure you feel at home. Not to mention, the food is amazing (especially the Chicken Rendang!) I did the 3 day 2 night trek with Putra and had such a fantastic time - he clearly knows a lot and cares for the jungle, it was such an awesome experience. I can’t wait to come back again 🙂 Terima kasih 🙏

Our stay here was amazing! The room is spacious, bed is comfortable, bathroom also nice and everything is clean. Also the room has a big balcony with incredible view. The staff was also great, we arranged everything we needed through them and it was not a problem. We also booked a one day jungle trek with them and it was excellent. Our guide Dani and his brother were good guides and also very nice people.

Amazing stay in Bukit Lawang! Could not have imagined it being any better :) The rooms were spacious and clean, we stayed in both rooms and both were great! The cheaper room has a garden view and the more expensive one the view onto the rice fields, which was a really nice bonus. Wifi worked well all the time. The guesthouse is located 10-15 mins walking time to the village, where you find a supermarket and a few warungs, where you can get a tasty and very cheap dinner. We didn't find the location problematic, rather nice as we were out in the quiet :) All the staff was always extremely friendly and helpful! They all together with the host Bayu made us feel more like family or close friends rather than just guests, which made it difficult to leave the place! We also booked a 2-day jungle trekking with Bayu - our guides were Jipour and Ali - awesome experience with lots of information and great fun, incl. spotting big and small animals, and, of course, orangutans :) Highly recommended! :)

What a beautiful setting! A little piece of luxury living in an exciting and peaceful jungle setting. Thank you to Agus, Sarah and their team of staff and especially Ellie the cook who gave us some of the tastiest food we have eaten on our travels around Indonesia. The trekking was amazing, well organised, fun and again the food the trekking guys made was delicious. Room was perfect, clean, peaceful with the little luxuries we needed after backpacking. Fun friendly team, we can't wait to come back. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you xx

Martin and his staff were extremely warm and welcoming. I ended up having all my meals there and boy was I in for a treat. We went out and did some karaoke and a whole list of activities. There was a guide for each adventure. His guides are good and happy people.

    Arif and Risky are great hosts. The hotel is 30 minutes walking into the jungle and in a nice quiet area. Al you can hear is the river flowing by, the animals and the rain on the roof Awesome jungle trekking with Wanda and Juli. And great local food at night made by Risky.

    Great location in Bukit Lawang, lovely grounds and outlook directly over the river. Beautiful teak rooms with outstanding bathroom facilities. Rooms and the whole guesthouse are spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds and importantly, a quiet room upstairs . Indra and Nana, and all the staff are wonderful, and very friendly. The restaurant food is great - you wouldn't even need to go elsewhere to eat. Thankyou Indra and Nana.

    The garden is beautiful, the patio also, it's clean, quiet and people are nice. The village center with many cheap food options is 2km away, that is about 20-25 min by walking through nice forest.
