A very nice and cosy place, it's not very big but it's comfortable and the floor heating was keeping it nicely warm. We didn't meet with the hosts but the communication was fast and the check-in & check-out process was smooth. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the address was easy to find, close to the airport and some nice tourist spots. We've chosen this location, as there was a higher possibility to observe the Northern Lights, even if the activity is low and surely enough, we managed to see them through the window. The Gardur Lighthouse is also within walking distance, which is also a good spot for Aurora, so it was quite convenient. Also, the beds were really soft and comfortable and we had a goodnight sleep.

The family-run Guest house 1x6 is in the old part of Keflavík, a 7-minute drive from Keflavik International Airport and a 20-minute drive from the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa.

Andi and Yuki are truly the epitome of exceptional, welcoming hosts. When reading the reviews prior to booking it all seemed too good to be true. The minute Andi picked us up from the airport, however, we understood exactly what everyone meant. We only got to stay one night at 1x6, but in that night we got to connect with people all over the world, and made some new friends from Oregon. The added homemade breakfast as great, and they were ready to help with anything we needed. For our next trip to Iceland, we’ll for sure be back!

We were upgraded to the Hotel which is very comfortable. Room was very clean and plenty of conveniences (electrical outlets, fridge, coffee & kettle etc plus good WiFi). Breakfast to die for - great choice and quality.

I think this ended up being one of our favorite stays in Iceland. The room and bed are very comfortable - there's a TV and plenty of outlets. The best part is that the host is such a kind and funny woman - she taught me a lot about Iceland and modern politics. My boyfriend had to return our rental car and walk back 40 minutes in the rain and she went out of her way to go pick him up and try to go find him in the rain. She also fed us Icelandic ice cream. :) I hope that I can come back one day and talk to her more. Best of luck with everything and we hope to see you again!
