Dinusha, the owner of Sunshine Villa, is a very kind and honest person. He took very good care of us. The food is delicious. The rooms are clean and nice. The bathroom is clean. He took an elephant safari for a reasonable price. Thanks for that especially. A scooter was given to see the village of Sigiriya. Thanks for the care. Highly recommend.

Best accomodation in Sigiriya!!! Cheap like a hostel, but private and clean, and at walking distance from anything you need. Owner and his family are amazing and cook an amazing big breakfast. Definitely recommend!

Kalhara made our stay perfect. He organized wonderful tours (safari, temples, dance show), and her wife prepared amazing breakfast and dinner! Everyday we had a different menu, always good and with Sri Lankan delicacies. The room was huge, spotless clean, with a very comfortable bed. The garden is beautiful, with palm trees and flowers, with a nice patio where we relaxed before dinner.. We had also a very nice walk close to the lake and ricefields, from the road in front of the hotel. We strongly recommend Swan lake to everyone wants to enjoy Habarana area

What a beautiful relaxed place! I had to move after two nights but I wish I stayed for a week at least. Highly recommended renting a bicycle (the owner can arrange it) and explore surrounding. The village is stunning, don’t miss all the lakes. The breakfast included in the price was full and delicious. And it was really convenient to order dinners as well and enjoy it sitting outdoor, surrounded by jungles. One of my best stays in Sri Lanka!

Without a doubt, the couple who run the hotel are the loveliest people you will meet in Sri Lanka. They are the kindest, sweetest people. They welcome you like family. They were so kind to my travel companion who was staying in a hotel nearby. - Communication was easy and quick - They organised our taxi from Negombo to Sigiriya; on the day, our plans changed and the couple helped us reorganise the taxi to a new pick up location and time - They organised our onward taxi to Kandy, including a stop at Dambulla caves on the way - Breakfast was a huge spread of omelette, chapati (cooked on a real wood fire) with sambol & dal, fresh fruit (watermelon, papaya, banana, passion fruit), tea / coffee. We skipped lunch. - The room was spotlessly clean - There was an electric shower, whilst not the most powerful, was hot. There was a second shower, more powerful but cool water. - The room had a lovely balcony for breakfast - They organised a safari / elephant tour. The host came with us to make sure we had a good time, spotting animals, taking photos, keeping us safe. We saw SO MANY ELEPHANTS, including lots of babies. Do it, it’s amazing - and cheap. - They gave us a thoughtful parting gift (I won’t spoil it, but we will treasure it) - Towels, soap, shampoo included - Good air con - The host saw a male peacock dancing outside our room and told us to come out to watch - amazing We paid for everything (taxis, breakfast, room, safari) at check out - they only accept cash.

The host and family were so welcoming, and even provided us with a safari tour. He is very skilled and we managed to always be the first ones to see the elephants as he knows the area very well. The rooms were clean and spacious, with a great bathroom and shower. The breakfast provided every morning was delicious and we sat on the porch overlooking the garden. It’s in a great location close to some lovely restaurants and a short drive from lions rock. I couldn’t recommend this Homestay enough, we really enjoyed our visit.
