New cabana with a great view on the Lion Rock from the balcony. The cabana was clean, well equipped with kettle, fridge and comfortable beds. Very friendly host. Nice western and Sri Lankan breakfast. There was enough parking space for our tuktuk.

Best accomodation in Sigiriya!!! Cheap like a hostel, but private and clean, and at walking distance from anything you need. Owner and his family are amazing and cook an amazing big breakfast. Definitely recommend!

The host Kalahara is kind and helpful and treats guests as his family.Nothing is too much for him. PROPERTY: Lovely homestay surrounded by trees and lovely garden.The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. All the facilities like hot water, airconditioning, water pressure etc was perfect. BREAKFAST:Our breakfast was included and it was the best we had in Srilanka.Its varied everyday and its plentiful and very tasty.(SEE PHOTOS) We had 2 dinners cooked by his wife and they were delicious and generous portions. TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. Thank you Kalahara for a wonderful stay. LOCATION: Walking distance

Very nice hosts, loved chatting with Wanda and Leo om the evenings! Amazing food, the curries for dinners were the best we ever had. The location is right in the jungle, so we made friends with gekkos and squirrels. A great stay!

It is one of the best places I have stayed in all of Sri Lanka. You are in the middle of nature and once you come back from climbing the rock it is a haven of peace. The rooms are very rustic but charming. They have built them themselves. And now the most important part, the family. I have no words to describe their kindness and hospitality. The man always worried that I would not lack anything. He took me with his motorbike to a medicinal plant garden and also to Pidurangaya and the famous Sigiriya rock. A great person with a big heart. And let's talk about the meals, dinner and breakfast of great quality and quantity. They know how to pamper their customers with details, like a fruit juice. They will never say no. They also wash your clothes. In summary: highly recommended for the human warmth that you breathe and the good treatment you receive. The best place in Sigiriya and almost all of Sri Lanka.

Without a doubt, the couple who run the hotel are the loveliest people you will meet in Sri Lanka. They are the kindest, sweetest people. They welcome you like family. They were so kind to my travel companion who was staying in a hotel nearby. - Communication was easy and quick - They organised our taxi from Negombo to Sigiriya; on the day, our plans changed and the couple helped us reorganise the taxi to a new pick up location and time - They organised our onward taxi to Kandy, including a stop at Dambulla caves on the way - Breakfast was a huge spread of omelette, chapati (cooked on a real wood fire) with sambol & dal, fresh fruit (watermelon, papaya, banana, passion fruit), tea / coffee. We skipped lunch. - The room was spotlessly clean - There was an electric shower, whilst not the most powerful, was hot. There was a second shower, more powerful but cool water. - The room had a lovely balcony for breakfast - They organised a safari / elephant tour. The host came with us to make sure we had a good time, spotting animals, taking photos, keeping us safe. We saw SO MANY ELEPHANTS, including lots of babies. Do it, it’s amazing - and cheap. - They gave us a thoughtful parting gift (I won’t spoil it, but we will treasure it) - Towels, soap, shampoo included - Good air con - The host saw a male peacock dancing outside our room and told us to come out to watch - amazing We paid for everything (taxis, breakfast, room, safari) at check out - they only accept cash.

Amazing stay! I l strongly recommend this place to any traveler looking for some relaxing atmosphere. The family was very nice and super helpful in helping me to plan my stay. They provided very useful recommendations and help with ordering tuktuk. The food was the best I had in Sri Lanka so far, highly recommend to enjoy your dinner there. The room was very nice and clean, AC, huge bathroom. The garden was very pretty. The guesthouse is located a bit outside of the main road but the village is accessible by foot. Last but not least, I did the safari with the owner, which was one of the best experience I had. Safari was in Hurulu Forest Reserve, a very nice forest, and we saw lots of (baby) elephants. Highly recommended!
