The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

Unbelievable staff, everyone was super helpful for whatever was needed. Super attentive and available to take us wherever we needed to go. Good breakfast and we also had meals at the hotel and everything was always perfect. Great pool for a late afternoon. Thanks Jorge and all the staff!!!!

We enjoyed our 1 night stay here! Chaminda and his family were friendly, helpful, and hospitable. The room was of a good size for the two of us, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower pressure and hot water were acceptable. It was walking distance to Lion Rock and I also liked that Chaminda shared about the other tours or rides that he can offer (he has a tuktuk) without being pushy, and he gave us complimentary rides a couple of times too. They also provided us with a superb breakfast which included some traditional Sri Lankan food. Do note that they have a dog (which was chained) and a kitten. There were a few mosquitoes and flies in the room (quite typical in Sri Lanka) but after awhile, they were gone (might have been due to the electric pest repellent). And they didn’t bother us at all. There’s also a mosquito net that can be used to cover the bed but we didn’t have to use that. We would stay here again!

We had such a wonderful stay at Yashi’s place. It was clean and comfortable. Harsha went out of his way to make our stay special and as comfortable as possible. His family was so lovely and friendly. We had a delicious dinner cooked by his wife and a scrumptious breakfast every morning. The location is perfect - a short tuktuk ride to all the main attractions (pidirungula rock and lions rock - which Harsha helped us arrange for reasonable prices) and the main strip of shops. We were delighted to catch the peacock on the roof! There are also lots of cute little squirrels on the property. An added bonus is Mr Caffeine just down the alley which has great coffee. Highly recommend staying at Yashi’s place.

The host Kalahara is kind and helpful and treats guests as his family.Nothing is too much for him. PROPERTY: Lovely homestay surrounded by trees and lovely garden.The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. All the facilities like hot water, airconditioning, water pressure etc was perfect. BREAKFAST:Our breakfast was included and it was the best we had in Srilanka.Its varied everyday and its plentiful and very tasty.(SEE PHOTOS) We had 2 dinners cooked by his wife and they were delicious and generous portions. TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. everything was amazing! the family are the most generous people I have met and made us feel so comfortable during our stay. Whenever we had any questions or requests we were met with kindness and generosity. The homestay is located in nature so it’s a beautiful place to relax after a day exploring. Our room was spotless and clean. Breakfast was great and we were offered many cups of tea during the stay! Also we loved the dog and the kittens!!
