The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed in the small kitchen. The bed is comfortable with good quality sheets and blankets. There is a TV with Netflix for the evenings and the wifi works well. AC is cool and shower is hot. The grounds are beautiful and the small pool was refreshing. The weather was cloudy most of the time we stayed but we did get a quick peek of the volcano. It’s RIGHT THERE. What a beautiful view! I spent a lot of time reading on the small terrace and bird watching. It is a bit out of La Fortuna, but we had a rental car and it was nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle.

The family is devoted and welcoming. The horses are necessary to get up in the mountains, and the views are out of this world. Really amazing experience. I would 100% recommend as a comfortable retreat. The sunset's are out of this world beautiful.

We had such a wonderful time and were lucky to stay at villa (#7) that was only recently built. Berenice at the "reception" was such a great help by providing the best local dinner and activity information which we gladly made use off. Parking behind the fence and Internet were great too. The premise is very green with chickens, a pair of Tucan, birds and colorful plants and flowers. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and prepared breakfast at the outdoor kitchen where coffee and eggs from the chickens were for free. By taxi/Uber it was just a couple minutes ride into La Fortuna but we can also recommend the restaurants opposite of Villa Tucan. We can highly recommend Villa Tucan and Berenice as a host.

Our first visit to Arenal was made memorable by staying here! Our balcony opened up to the volcano. And the lake is right there too! ALL Arenal activities are close to this property. Mistico Hanging bridges, Arenal 1968 Trails, all lake activities are 100 feet away and a short walk up the road takes you to Shailee’s viewpoint. Another memorable view from there. Food is also excellent! We had the local sea bass one night-it’s 3 huge fish. Pura Vida

Ingrid and Isais were the kindest, loveliest people and we’re so grateful that they opened their home to us! The coffee was fantastic (seriously, couldn’t get enough) and having kittens around was the cherry on top!
