From a last minute early check in to an upgrade of my booked room to offering a lift where they could and providing me with fans when I found the evenings a bit hot. Nothing was too much trouble. The place was immaculate. I know it’s said a lot but I really was a home away from home, only my home is rarely that tidy! I felt completely safe as a solo female traveller and can’t wait to return with my family and book out the place.

Just 500 metres North of Carlow in a quiet mature area (a 10-minute stroll), Avlon House Bed and Breakfast is an ideal base for touring the South-East of Ireland. I didn't partake in the breakfast.
