This time a brought a friend and she too enjoyed the stay. A great selection at breakfast. The location up on a hill a 5-10 min walk outside of the town center is perfect. The view is lovely and it's so nice an quiet.

Located in Ballyhaunis, in a historic building, 11 km from Knock Shrine, 'James Lyons' The old main St is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a garden and terrace. The property features garden and city views, and is 19 km from Kiltimagh Museum. The bed and breakfast also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The host is the most hardworking man I've ever met, very polite, cares about his guests, always comes around to make sure his guests are good, always available, gives you all the information, help and support you need. Very focused, organised, hardworking with a smile on his face. You need anything? He's a call away. The hotel has everything to make you feel at home...away from home and that includes a surveillance camera to keep the property secure and make the guests feel safe. The hotel is adjacent to the Bus stop, a stone throw to the train station, and few minutes walk to basic amenities like supermarkets, pharmacy, eatery, you name it. The hotel is perfectly located at the heart of the Town. If you are visiting Ireland, ditch the big cities, start with Ballyhaunis and check into JAMES LYONS B&B, you will thank me later. The instructions for getting in were clear, communication was quickly responded to, the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. And the setting was gorgeous. We also got good local tourism tips from Seamus. Will definitely come again!
