(My husband was pretty ready to move in)

The Rooms At Firecastle is set in Kildare's market square, overlooking St Brigid's Cathedral. The property offers an onsite bakery, an artisan grocery store and a take away breakfast and lunch served daily. Stayed here before and have found it perfect both times, room and bathroom were absolutely spotless, bed was comfortable, room was modern. Seriously perfect. Would absolutely recommend, best rooms in kildare by a long shot.

The guest house features some units with garden views, and all units are fitted with a kettle. At the guest house, units are fitted with bed linen and towels. Outstanding! From the location, to the facilities, to the food and the incredible staff our stay was outstanding. The staff was stellar in all ways. The accommodations were clean, beautiful, amazing. Breakfast, lunch and cream teas were excellent. We spent four days and truly did not want to leave!

Located just off the M7 motorway, the Silken Thomas Accommodation Accommodation is less than a 10 minute walk from Kildare Village Chic Outlet Shopping and 15 minutes from the Irish National Stud. Whitewater Shopping Centre, the Curragh Racecourse and Newbridge Silverware are less than a 10 minute drive away. Lovely room, and the staff really helpful! Great location! Will definitely visit again!

The Dining Room serves traditional and continental breakfasts, which feature homemade chutneys, banana bread and scones. Afternoon tea can be taken in the elegant Drawing Room. Eclellent hotel ! Great breakfast, with many choises and with very polite personel, we have asked to change our room due to some noises and they immediately accepted ! Our turk friend in the reception helped us a lot!

There is a bus stop opposite Donnybrook Hall, with regular Aircoach services running to and from the airport and the city centre. Luggage storage is available at the hotel.

This family-run guest house has rooms with good-quality beds, mattress hygiene care and tea/coffee making facilities. There is also a comfortable sitting room for guests to relax in. I don't have enough adjectives to describe the place which was beyond my expectations for the guest house. It was the only time I wanted to rate the place positively before I left it. I mostly had interaction with Louis and Martina and brief talk with the owner the next morning of my arrival. The warmth and the welcomeness I received was incredible. Even though the property states the check in should be between 2-7 PM I arrived later and was greeted by Louis who not only explained to me about the city but also made me some tea with biscuits. I got really big room which Martina would clean so nicely everyday and change my coffee and tea. It was a very beautiful and clean room and I enjoyed it so much I did not want to leave it. What I really appreciated about the location is that it was not too close to the centre and after a long day of walking and interacting with people it was nice to have some quite time to yourself and because it is a big house there are not so many visitors so it always felt like I am coming back home after a hard day. It is close to all the facilities you need- direct busses to city centre and the airport (!), Tesco and a small market to buy some grocery food if you need, really good cafe that serves the best toasties and breakfast for a reasonable price (Happy Out) and some more if you like. In overall I recommend the place for solo travellers (especially who are a bit introverts like myself) and couples who want a nice get a way for the weekend.

County Carlow Military Museum is 40 km from the bed and breakfast, while Carlow Golf Range incorp. Ian Kerr Golf Academy is 41 km from the property. The room was cozy and superclean, recently renewed and closed to the citycenter (5 min by walk). David is the perfect host!

I would Highly Recommend Johnsville House to any visitor to Carlow Town. Magic !!!

Set in Bunclody, in a historic building, 12 km from Altamont Gardens, The Monkey Puzzle is a recently renovated guest house with a garden and shared lounge. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. This place was sooo great. Clean, quiet, Agnus was friendly and helpful!!

Dowth is 24 km from the bed and breakfast, while Hill of Slane is 25 km away. Dublin Airport is 63 km from the property. Lovely, quiet, exceptionally clean accommodation. Extremely hospitable hosts made our stay very enjoyable. Highly Recommended.
