Beautiful, peaceful, uncrowded and authentic. Everything is within walking distance. We took the steamtram and boat for a leisurely, fun and historic journey to the town - (Keep your luggage to a minimum if bringing eg store big bags at Amsterdam Centraal, Sloterdijk storage is unreliable) Families with young kids thoroughly enjoyed the fun activities along the way as did we (an older couple). In addition to wonderful walks, Enkhuisen the town has the best museum (Zuiderzee) - a living, breathing historic collection of homes and businesses dating back around a hundred years ago showing what life was like back then for the fishing community before the dike wall changed their way of life completely. A fascinating, absorbing trip through time. So much to see and do. Now, the accommodation: Absolutely wonderful, our hosts Ellen and Dirk, could not have been more helpful and kind. They did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. And the accommodation itself was an utter delight - spacious, comfortable bed, great shower, gorgeous view out over the canal and awesome breakfast choices. We would encourage everyone to come here to experience the best of the Netherlands. We would love to come again.

The house was very clean and beautiful, the furniture and the view and the surrounding areas were very beautiful, I highly recommend it without hesitation, the kitchen is fully equipped, the bathrooms are clean and smell great, the garden and the facilities for grilling or sitting outside were beautiful, also every morning she would prepare us some beautiful things for breakfast in the kitchen of the house ❤️ Don't forget to bring your car with you so you can enjoy the views, the owner's treatment was very professional and friendly, we forgot to rent a car but she helped us and provided us with a bike rental service! Very nice

Roomy and spacious, with high ceilings and light flooded rooms gave the little apartment a super high end feel. Lovingly well thought out details throughout the flat -no shortcuts. We loved the adjustable bed, walk in closet, furnishings and Leony’s touches throughout. The breakfast absolutely amazing…fresh squeezed orange Joyce, local breads and cheeses, … Ontbijt bin De Boerenmeid is one of our favorite places we have ever stayed. Very comfortable. Beyond our expectations. Perfect location. Very clean. The owners thought about the finest details. Very pleasant to stay. We , when in the Netherlands, only live some 60 kilometers away, though decided after a music festival to take it easy and stay overnight. We will return. Great host and hostess. An amamazing centuries old town.

El Puerto Bed and Breakfast offers accommodation in Hoorn with views over the harbour. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and guests can enjoy a jacuzzi and rainshower. Such a good place to stay. The location is great. The room had windows to two sides with views of the harbour. It was comfortable and immaculately clean - and great shower and spa bath. Coffee and tea making facilities. The owner was friendly and couldn't have done more to make us welcome. As for the breakfast - served in your room and amazing. Everything good quality and tailored to your requests. A perfect stay. One thing to note - the stairs are steep and narrow - would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems.
