The hotel staff were very warm and helpful upon arrival, offering an arrival drink and helping us get bags to the room. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff helped arrange a bus to take us from Bhaktapur to Pokhara, and took us to the bus stop in the early morning. The restaurant was prompt and tasty. The location is prime in Bhaktapur- easy to walk around from the Hotel.

The accommodation offers private check-in and check-out, and currency exchange for guests. Our window view was of a temple, and you are literally two blocks from Kathmandu Durbar Square. The room had charging plugs right near the bed, and each room is its own floor so the bathroom — adjacent — is private. There is a water dispenser and a kettle on each floor as well. Bobby suggested that we use the roof are to dry clothes, but he also provides a clothespin rack inside (it’s monsoon season). Bobby was super helpful — met me at the airport, showed us where to change money, helped us buy umbrellas, booked our Tourist bus to Pokhara, arranged for a taxi pickup, and each was a value-for-money experience. He let us store our luggage for our days away for a small fee. The room is only fan-cooled, but I’d gladly put up with the “a little steamy” for the location and the support.

Great view of Kathmandu and the temple. The location is great and is about a 15-20 min walk to the center. Owner is lovely gave us lots of tips and advice coming in to the place. We’re coming back to stay again as we have one more night Kathmandu after we left to Pokhara. Great place!

Shailendra and his wife were gentle and kind, treating me like a dear elder and a long-lost friend. I cherished the breakfast time every morning. They welcomed me like family. Sitting by the balcony, savoring the delicious breakfast they prepared, watching the view, listening to the birds sing, and sharing unhurried conversations—this was exactly the meaning of my trip. Walking out from the hotel, there are many cafés nearby. A little further, you’ll find bookstores, supermarkets, and the beautiful traditional architecture of Patan. Compared to other areas of Kathmandu, Patan feels more peaceful and perfect for leisurely strolls. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe here. This place has left me with beautiful memories of Kathmandu. May we all enjoy life to the fullest in our own corners of the world. See you again.

This former residence has been very beautifully restored, it retains its character yet feels contemporary. The garden patio is calm & well designed, a great space for breakfast. The bedrooms retain their authentic charm again beautiful restoration work and exceptionally clean, the en suites are modern and blend in very well. The young man working on reception is extremely helpful, friendly, and makes time to talk, especially about Nepali & Patan culture. Highly highly recommended.
