Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

We were also able to benefit from the best insider tips. This enabled us to explore Kona perfectly. Our time with Ricky was great. Should we return to Kona, we will definitely book the Hale Hualalai and maybe have a drum session with Ricky :)

Extras include an outdoor seating area, bed linen and a fan. First of all, many thanks to the hosts! They were very kind, provided a lot of information and trained snorkelling equipment. Excellent breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We received a map and explanations about the area. On the last day, we had to leave early in the morning, so they prepared an excellent breakfast for us to take on the road! We really enjoyed our stay there. The location is outside the city, but very close. Entrance and exit to the drive way is a bit problematic - straight to the road. Beyond that - we would stay there again.
