This place hits eleven out of ten. Are you a solo traveling woman in Morocco? Make a detour and spend a night in Dar Zerhoune. You will be able to truly relax and regenerate. Some people complain about the stairs. Yes, there are some steps. But nothing to worry about. And the little street is lovely. The food, dinner and breakfast, is also lovely.

At gite El menzeh we spent a very comfortable night, welcomed by the owner and her brother despite a last-minute reservation. Dinner was prepared for us and also an excellent breakfast. The bed was the most comfortable during my 12-day stay around Morocco and the private bathroom was clean and with a comfortable and spacious shower. There is a parking lot 2/3 minutes away where we left the car for 10dirham per night (1€) and 5 minutes away you enter the heart of the village moulay Idriss. The owner is an attentive, helpful and friendly person.

Al Andaloussiya Diyafa, a typical Moroccan house is located in the holy city of Moulay Idriss. It offers panoramic views of Volubilis and the surrounding areas from the furnished terrace.

What a beautiful, peaceful gem in Meknez! Easy communication with the proprietor before arrival, and we felt welcomed from the moment we set foot in the lovely white-walled courtyard. Attentive staff and rooms are SO comfortable, with heating and comfortable beds. Sparkling clean. Yummy breakfast. We parked at the parking lot right inside the main old town gates for 20dh. Truly couldn't be happier with our stay in Meknez.
