Oanh is an incredible and caring host! We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The dinner was really good and absolutely recommendable. She answered all our questions and even booked a transfer for us to go to Phu Quoc. Moreover she showed us places to watch the sunset, so we could go there by the free bikes she offers. During the day we did a boat tour with her brother on the Mekong river which was really nice as well. When we came home Oanh prepared lunch which was also included in the 5-hour, 16 $ boat trip. Even if the rooms are quite simple (but well equipped with mosquito nets and AC) , everything was really clean and you can relax in the hammocks in front of her house.

You can have dinner with the host family at a very affordable price. Location is close to the ferry, in a big garden which gives a fresh breath

Beautiful location. Our hosts were so helpful, organising transfers to and from the ferry and a boat trip to explore the waterways around Vinh Long. Breakfast was excellent, as we're the two evening meals we had (strongly recommend the fried "elephant ear" fish dish). Exactly what we needed after the noise and chaos of Go Chi Minh.

A Unique and Heartwarming Experience, Thanks to Dou and Her Family Staying at this homestay was a truly special experience, and it’s all thanks to our wonderful host, Dou, and her lovely family. From the moment we arrived, Dou welcomed us warmly and took care of us throughout our entire stay. She even guided us on a local tour, recommended excellent places to eat, and brought us to a wonderful massage spot. We were two couples – my husband and I, and our son with his girlfriend. My husband and I stayed in the main house, which includes a dining area, library, and bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, there’s a cozy bedroom with air conditioning and a spacious seating area with a balcony overlooking the river. The house is tastefully decorated with delicate aesthetics and great attention to detail. Our son and his girlfriend stayed in a nearby room above the family house. That space is more modern in style, yet just as charming. We stayed for two nights and had a magical early-morning trip to the nearby floating market to watch the sunrise – a truly unforgettable experience. Even after we left, Dou continued to assist us – helping us order special items we had seen at her place and arranging two drivers to take us to our next destination. Dou speaks excellent English and is the heart and soul of this place. She made our stay not only comfortable but genuinely meaningful. The only downside is the noise of boats passing along the river – but surprisingly, we got used to it quickly and it didn’t take away from the experience. A special mention to Dou’s mother, a fantastic cook, who surprised us with a delicious homemade dinner after our trip, and even prepared sandwiches and snacks for us to take when we left – without us asking. If you’re looking for an authentic, warm, and unforgettable experience, this is the perfect place.

The meals were superb. More than we could eat. Thanks Danh. Our rooms view was exceptional. Lots of places to sit and watch life on the Mekong drift by. The tour we went with Nam around the island was very interesting and we enjoyed it so went with him to Sedac and the amazing National Park that was used for the defenses during the American War. Nam was our guide for this tour and he then put us on the bus to Chau Doc. A MUST DO.

The place with it’s big garden is just wonderful. Very clean room. The breakfast is really excellent. Bikes are free, motorbikes 150 000 dongs per day. Nature around is incredibly beautiful, with thousands of canals all around. Perfect for cycling or biking. I strongly recommend!!

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights with our son and his girlfriend. The meals were very good, the big elephant ear fish was amazing. A very rural, pretty and calm escape with free bicycles to use. We took the boat tour which we thought was good value. While there was no English guide we saw a working pottery, local sweets being made, local market and a ride on a small boat through the canal.

Genuine rustic homestay with welcoming family in cute thatched bamboo chalets overlooking a large pond. Climb the bamboo stairs to the bedrooms. Walk the gangplank to the dining room for delicious meals. Sa Dec is flower heaven and we loved the setting among all the flower nurseries. Hired a motorbike for a few hours which was great. A pushbike would be fine also as everything is flat. Frogs at night; no city noise! Reminds one how we don't need much in life to be happy!
